Mapping Artificial Intelligence Capability (New Zealand)

AiLab are proud to sponsor and initiate an Artificial Intelligence research project working with a team of Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences (BCIS) students from the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) in New Zealand.

Research Project Overview

This project aims to map the current level of Artificial Intelligence capabilities across New Zealand. Using a variety of research methods, this research will identify companies, institutions and projects that make use of AI-based tools and techniques and the associated AI capabilities analysed. The collated AI capabilities will be mapped (categorised) to help drive informed decision making for AI investment, policies and strategies.

Our group is excited to work closely with AiLab in mapping the Artificial Intelligence ecosystem in Aotearoa (New Zealand). This increased accessibility and spotlight on Artificial Intelligence may advance further developments in this area BCIS Students

Research Project Outcomes

This project aims to deliver an online tool that maps the AI ecosystem for New Zealand and allows users to quickly search and report on current capabilities. The software tool will help aid investment decision making processes and highlight the work and research being undertaken by AI entities across the country.

For further information about this project, please get in touch via our contact form.

Mapping AI Capability Survey

The survey is now closed. Thank you to everyone that completed the survey.

If you are business building or using Artificial Intelligence tools and technologies, please complete the survey that will help identify and map AI organisations, businesses, and capability in New Zealand.
