AiLab’s 1-day intensive AI masterclass for executives delves into the essentials of Artificial Intelligence, the strategic opportunities it presents for business growth and the critical risks of AI integration.

This expert-led, interactive masterclass covers key topics such as ensuring ethical and responsible use of AI-powered tools, project ownership to drive AI initiatives successfully, data governance and the transformative impact of AI on workforce dynamics and skills requirements.

Dr. John Flackett is a distinguised Artificial Intelligence educator, speaker and advisor with 30 years’ experience working in the field. Achieving his PhD in AI in 2005, John’s pioneering research in the mid-1990s aided in the early understanding of AI techniques and algorithms now used in major large language models. In 2025, John was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science in recognition of his significant contributions to Artificial Intelligence and education. As an AI educator, John leads AiLab workshops and supervises AI PhD students. Before founding AiLab, John spent a decade as a senior university academic teaching AI and software engineering at both undergraduate and master's levels at Southampton Solent University. He later served as the AI Specialist in Residence and AI Ambassador for Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand. A respected AI expert, John's accolades include various awards, and he is a sought-after media interviewee and contributor to publications. As an AI advisor and consultant, he has served on multiple boards and committees, including Australia's Federal Government Artificial Intelligence Action Plan Committee.
